Entry-level: Explain the purpose and elements of visioning and desired conditions statements. Understand the goals and objectives related to recreation in your organization’s guiding documents. Support the development of vision and desired conditions statements using existing resources.
Full Performance: Assess alignment and support for future-focused recreation management by gathering input from specialists, partners, and affected parties/communities. Use input and supporting documentation (e.g., management plans, enabling legislation, state or county policies) to develop and gain buy-in for vision and desired conditions statements.
Expert: Model and lead efforts on complex projects with multiple affected parties/communities to identify shared values for visitor experiences, natural and cultural resource conditions, health and safety, access, belonging and other elements of visitor use management. Provide guidance and recommendations on developing and gaining buy-in for vision and desired conditions statements.
