ORPCF Self-Evaluation Tool

The Outdoor Recreation Professional Competency Framework (ORPCF) Self-Evaluation Tool is designed to help outdoor recreation professionals assess their current proficiency across the ORPCF competencies, identify their strengths, and prioritize areas for professional growth. By rating both the importance of each competency to your current role and your proficiency level, the workbook generates a personalized Summary Dashboard with weighted scores and development insights.

Downloading & Opening the Workbook

1. Click "Visit External Resource" to download the ORPCF Self-Evaluation Tool the Excel workbook.
2. Save the workbook to your computer before opening it.
3. Open the workbook in Microsoft Excel (Excel 365 recommended).
4. If prompted, click Enable Macros (or Enable Content) so the workbook's interactive features—including the Clear Selections buttons—function correctly.
5. Review the Instructions tab before beginning your self-assessment.
